in the last post, I told ya that dad and his bro. love to hunt and fish. well here is some of the fish they got on one of their many fishing trips, some times they would spend all night a fishing !

Part one

have been going though some pictures .

some pictures of before I was born,and some when I was growning up.

and a lot has change, from then too now, I was brought up on old storys , of hunting and how things were back then, I must be getting old , cause I'm wishing I would have payed more mind to them!

Here is a shot of my dad when he was young, with his hound dogs, and it reminded me of the movie , " Where the Red Fern Grows" that was a very good movie.

not much going on in our part of the country these days, when ya have to work 7day a week in town , ya don't have much time to do things at home but what ya have to do! and them when ya do get some time off all ya want to do is sleep!

here is a shot of my dad and DH, back in the early days, those 2 house was where i sent my childhood days .

it's spring once more, and that means getting back to working on the shop, that we started on last year, as ya can tell they got the roof on , and the widows in ! with some luck it will be done by this fall.

Dad loved to be out doors, he was at peace there.

he never talked that much and didn't share his feelings !

I would catch him sitting on a bucket watching his mules ,

I often wonder what he was thinking at times. but never did ask him.

got him when he was a pup, and looked like a black fuzzball.

named him after one of my history teachers in high school.

it's hard to think of ya being gone six years now!

every time i look up the road, I think of you coming back from a ride on your mule, but know that will never happen!

I do have my memories to fall back on!

It's Deer's season here, and I have been thinking of dad, he love this time of year.

the hunting and getting the winters wood in, he just loved to be outside.

I like this shot of him , this was what he did the most

sit outside, this was where he was the happiest, or with his mules.

O ne of the things I got from him, the love of being outside!

And the reason I started this blog , to help keep his memory alive.

gooseberry pie

made a gooseberry pie yesterday, as you can tell, it don't last long here.

Not one of my favs but one of my DH and mom's, it's one that ya love or hate.

Some like it sweet,and some like it sour.
