HUNT~UN TIME ~ONCE MORE

heard something  the other night in the chicken coop, wait a min.  I'm getting ahead of myself here.

  The other morning, I thow some popcorn to the chicken , (cause they really like it)!  but  went back just a few seconds later   to check on something ,  and the popcorn was gone. 
Didn't  give it much thought , they mustof  been hunger.  any hoo,  the day went by.  We had to go somewhere  and didn't get back until  dark .   When  I got in the house , I  remembered I hadn't shut the chickens up.  
So  as I was going to the coop, that's when I  heard  something  coming from there, and  when I got there,
this is what i saw .

The chickens  were eatting the popcorn and watching a movie!

if something looks  pretty on the outside doesn't all ways means that it is good on the inside, and somtimes if something doesn't look that pretty on the outside, doesn't  mean the inside is! take  incase these persimmons.

Dryer blues

my dryer broke the other day, they just don't make them like they use to!  :(

OLD WAYS

a couple of weekends ago we wnet to a CELTIC FESTIVAL, close to where we live,

and we came apond, a husband and wife team making Lye soap, and we stood watching them make a batch.

It got me to remember , back to when I was a kid, and my grandmaw telling me, when she would make lye soap.

Well we bought some of it. DH uses it to get the stain from work oof his hands ,, that todays

soap wouldn't touch.

and a lot has change, from then too now, I was brought up on old storys , of hunting and how things were back then, I must be getting old , cause I'm wishing I would have payed more mind to them!

Here is a shot of my dad when he was young, with his hound dogs, and it reminded me of the movie , " Where the Red Fern Grows" that was a very good movie.

not much going on in our part of the country these days, when ya have to work 7day a week in town , ya don't have much time to do things at home but what ya have to do! and them when ya do get some time off all ya want to do is sleep!

it's spring once more, and that means getting back to working on the shop, that we started on last year, as ya can tell they got the roof on , and the widows in ! with some luck it will be done by this fall.
