a Perfect Country Christmas

TO ME would be a little cabin in the woods , with a warm fire going,   a long deep couch facing the  fire,
with hubby and me,  drinking  applecider and listing to some Bluegrass Christmas music.
that would be SWEET.

remembering when

this  was  where my grandmaw  lived  when I was a kid .   and as a kid , I thought it was a very big house.

Boy could my granny cook.
she cooked on a woodstove,
and the food that  would comeout of
it.  would make your mouth water.

We  would  all ways have Sunday dinner there,  and if ya didn't  eat  when  she  fixed something ,  you would  hurt her feelings , and  it didn't  matter you were.    I  loved  her homemaded bread  and her  sugar cookies.
There was this on time , I had spent the nite with  her .  and  the next morning  I woke  up , too  her  packing  a hog' head , passed the bedroom,   She was going  to make  headchesse that day.  
You would think  growing up as a county girl , that  I would  like to eat.  stuff  like that and  rabbit and squirrel , but I didn't.  but  she did and so did my dad.

Been thinking of my dad , here lately.
this  is a picture ,I took   of him  a long time ago and a good friend of our family wrote the  poem..

WE GOT RAIN

got some rain  today,

WHAT 2 HILLBILLY'S DO

On their  22nd  annivsary.
WEll  this is it!  
We  live   in   between  to towns,  one being  17 miles away, and 25 the other way.
yest erday  got up early and went to one town  toget my truck  inspected,and license.  then  stoped for breakfast,   then home to rest up , for the big night out  in the other town,   went an saw  "CARS 2"
in 3D,( a first)  It was a VERy Good  Movie,   and after the movie , went and walked around  Wallyworld!

Things don't get better then that!   :)

Texas

We went to visit, Dh's  sister and bro~in~law last sat.
I try to take my camera along cause she, always  as something new in her yard.
well heres a  bell that has been there a while, and it has always made me think  of Texas.

Well  when  we got there,  we saw that there was somthing new there, that made me think of
