It's Deer's season here, and I have been thinking of dad, he love this time of year.

the hunting and getting the winters wood in, he just loved to be outside.

I like this shot of him , this was what he did the most

sit outside, this was where he was the happiest, or with his mules.

O ne of the things I got from him, the love of being outside!

And the reason I started this blog , to help keep his memory alive.

gooseberry pie

made a gooseberry pie yesterday, as you can tell, it don't last long here.

Not one of my favs but one of my DH and mom's, it's one that ya love or hate.

Some like it sweet,and some like it sour.

We were out for a drive one day, too see the dogwoods in bloom , I happen to spy

I lived down a deadend dirtroad, my whole childhood years.

And i loved it! I don't remember my grandpaw, butI do my grandmaw, she lived in

the house , that I live in now, it was built back in the 40's I think , didn't have a indoor bathroom, until the "70" but anyway

living that far out, ya didn't see that many people. and if ya did see someone coming down

the road back then, ya knew that they were coming to see you! But those days are gone,

Now I'm grown and married, living in my Grandmaw's house, ( I still call it that) and hear

a car coming down the road, ya don't know if they are coming for a visit or just checking the place out! they go on down to the end and turn around or trun around in the driveway!

I miss them old days

this was my dad's wagon , that he drove a many of mile, he was at peace in that wagon!

May was always a busy month for my dad, about this time he would bee getting ready for

the yeary trailride they would have around these parts, it is a big todo and alot of people from all over would could for the weekend , and it would almost ways storm, and this year is no different! Dad loved this time of year. I do miss him!
